IFS
Peace Within Yourself
Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you explore your “inner family” of parts—each with its own unique voice, role, and perspective. Together, we’ll uncover the compassionate core of your Self, the calm and confident leader within you, and help you guide your parts toward understanding and peace within yourself.
What is IFS?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a compassionate, evidence-based therapy that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself shaped by life experiences and trauma. Rather than fixing or pushing parts away, we work together to listen to them with curiosity and care.
In sessions, I guide you in gently slowing down, tuning inward, and building a trusting relationship with your internal world at a pace that feels safe and supportive. By strengthening access to your core Self, a calm, grounded, and wise presence, healing unfolds naturally through greater self-compassion, clarity, and balance.
IFS is especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and inner conflict, offering a gentle and empowering path toward wholeness.
Examples of IFS Practices
- Helping you identify and give voice to your inner parts (e.g., an anxious part or a perfectionist part).
- Teaching you mindfulness and self-compassion as tools to connect with the Self.
- Recognizing and reframing internal conflicts as conversations between parts.
Benefits of an IFS Approach
- Deepened Self-Awareness: Understanding how internal parts influence thoughts, feelings, and actions.
- Improved Emotional Regulation: Learning to calm reactive parts and connect with the Self.
- Trauma Healing: Providing a safe space to explore and release burdens carried by wounded parts.
- Empowerment: Helping individuals take leadership of their inner system with compassion and clarity.
