IFS-Informed
Peace Within Yourself
Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you explore your “inner family” of parts—each with its own unique voice, role, and perspective. Together, we’ll uncover the compassionate core of your Self, the calm and confident leader within you, and help you guide your parts toward understanding and peace within yourself.
What is IFS-Informed?
IFS-informed refers to an approach to therapy or support that is guided by the principles and concepts of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, even if not fully adhering to the complete IFS therapeutic model. IFS is a type of psychotherapy developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz that views the mind as being made up of different “parts” or sub-personalities, each with its own perspective, feelings, and motivations.
Examples of IFS-Informed Practices
- Helping you identify and give voice to your inner parts (e.g., an anxious part or a perfectionist part).
- Teaching you mindfulness and self-compassion as tools to connect with the Self.
- Recognizing and reframing internal conflicts as conversations between parts.
Benefits of an IFS-Informed Approach
- Deepened Self-Awareness: Understanding how internal parts influence thoughts, feelings, and actions.
- Improved Emotional Regulation: Learning to calm reactive parts and connect with the Self.
- Trauma Healing: Providing a safe space to explore and release burdens carried by wounded parts.
- Empowerment: Helping individuals take leadership of their inner system with compassion and clarity.
